Summer Ecosystem Experiences for Undergraduates (SEE-U) - Information Session - Wednesday, March 5th at 6:00 p.m.

The Center for Environmental Research and Conservation at Columbia University is pleased to be offering for the 9th year:

Summer Ecosystem Experiences for Undergraduates (SEE-U):
An introductory ecology and conservation biology lecture, field, and digital laboratory course

Live and learn in one of our beautiful locations:

SEE-U Abroad: Brazil or the Caribbean
Session 1: May 24-June 28, 2008 (Brazil full in Session 1)
Session 2: July 5-August 9, 2008
6 Credits

SEE-U New York
Short Session: June 4-June 20
3 Credits

Our abroad SEE-U courses earn students 6 credits that can be used to fulfill two of the 3-credit Core Curriculum science requirements for CC, GS, and GS-JTS students as well as one of the 5-credit science laboratory requirements for Barnard students. Additionally, this course fulfills a "systems" requirement for the new Special Concentration in Sustainable Development.

PLUS - we will be offering a shortened SEE-U program at the Black Rock Forest in upstate New York's Hudson Highlands. This SEE-U short course in the Hudson Highlands will earn students 3 science credits that can be used to complete one of the 3 science requirements that CC, GS, and GS-JTS students need for graduation.
