New MA Program in International and World History
Columbia University and the London School of Economics are launching a new MA program in International and World History this fall.
It will be a two-year "boot camp" for aspiring international and global historians. The curriculum includes classic readings and research methods in a series of core courses, a language training requirement, and an array of electives in the history of migration, trade, technological revolutions, epidemic disease, environmental change, wars and diplomacy. Students will spend the first year in New York and the second year in London, where they will complete a masters thesis and receive degrees from both institutions.
The program is described in greater detail at our new website:
http://www.worldhistory.columbia.edu
The new deadline for applications is April 1.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact the program
coordinator, Line Lillevik, at: worldhistory@columbia.edu or call (212) 854-3860.
