If you are a student enrolled in a Columbia University course, we invite you to come in for an individual consultation to discuss your writing. Our writing consultants are advanced graduate students with significant training and teaching experience at Columbia. We encourage you to speak with a consultant early in the writing process, but will gladly work with you at any stage in the development of an essay, personal statement, cover letter, or any other type of writing except exams. If you schedule an appointment in advance, you may submit your writing to your consultant prior to your discussion.
Drop-ins are also welcome. Call us or stop by our office to sign up for an appointment.
