ALL First-Years
Part 2 of AlcoholEdu
Almost all of you have successfully completed Part 1 of the AlcoholEdu course, achieving 80% or higher on the exam. We congratulate you for having passed the first part of the course with flying colors.
Approximately 60 days after you complete Part 1, you will receive an automatically generated email that allows you to finish Part 2 of the course (Chapter 4 and Survey 3). The deadline to complete this section is November 1, 2007.
To take the course, you will need a computer with Internet access and audio capabilities. For Part 2, you will enter as a returning user and enter the user ID and password as chosen.
Should you experience any technical difficulties or require support, click on the “Help” button located on the AlcoholEdu for College screen. For non-technical questions, please contact Kate Watson at alcoholedu@columbia.edu.

We are all familiar with the linear “roman numeral” approach to taking notes. However, does it really work? In this workshop, you will explore alternative methods of note taking. You will look at ways you can really access your notes for studying purposes.

The session is intended for Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science students and alumni/ae who are applying to law school for 2008 admission. The session will address the administrative aspects and the strategic components of the law school application process.
We will cover the "nuts and bolts" of the application process: guidelines for writing an effective personal statement, determining where to apply, asking for recommendations, filing your application, obtaining a dean's certification, and utilizing campus and outside resources.
